Colido Delta D1315 3D Printer

- The D1315 is Colido’s second delta-style printer, after the massive Mega. Designed for all skill levels from beginner to expert, this printer is much more modestly sized than the Mega, meant for the production of small to medium objects rather than, say, full-sized furniture – but with the print speed that only a delta can provide.

The Delta D1315 features a circular build platform, a steel frame and an extremely light weight of only 4.5 kg (9.9 lbs). It requires no calibration, and, according to Colido, its print speed is 2.7 times faster than a typical Cartesian 3D printer. It doesn’t shirk on print quality, either, with the capability of printing to a resolution as high as 50 microns. It’s also designed to require very little energy consumption – about as much as a 60-watt light bulb.

- The Delta D1315 lends itself to a diverse array of applications, including prototyping, small tool production, education, and personal creation. The simply designed printer meets that enviable combination of being easy and straightforward enough that beginners should be able to use it with no trouble, yet high-quality enough that more experienced and even professional makers will find it capable of meeting their needs.

- While an exact cost hasn’t been revealed for the Delta D1315 yet, CoLiDo 3D printers have always been in a very reasonable price range, so this one should be affordable for the wide range of customers it was designed to appeal to. The D1315 will be launching as part of CoLiDo’s Black Friday sale, so don’t be surprised by even further discounts.
