HISTORY OUTLINE
In the Midlands ruled by Queen Marika, the Eternal, the Circle of Elden, origin of the Golden Tree, has been destroyed.

Marika´s descendants, all demigods, claimed the fragments of the Elden Circle known as Great Runes. It was then that the mad corruption of her renewed strength sparked a war: the Devastation. A war that meant the abandonment of the Greater Will.

EXPANDED EXPERIENCE ON PS5 AND XBOX SERIES X | S
Utilizing the power of a new generation of consoles, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S will allow gamers to personalize their experience by choosing between RESOLUTION MODE to improve the appearance of the game (up to 4K) or PERFORMANCE MODE for a higher frame rate (up to 60FPS).

Users who purchase ELDEN RING for PlayStation 4 will receive the PlayStation 5 version update free of charge. The Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S versions will be compatible with SmartDelivery.
* Players who purchase the PlayStation®4 version will be able to upgrade to the PlayStation®5 version for free. Note: Players who purchase the physical version of the game will not be able to update it on PS5 ™ Digital Edition, as this console does not have a disc drive.
