Etrex 22x is a tracker created for hiking and cycling. This Garmin team offers the proper reading of maps and routes on its 2.2 ´´screen with 240 x 320 pixels.
To get to the desired destination, this team has TopoActive maps loaded. In addition, the device has compatibility with GPS and GLONASS satellites to facilitate tracking on a particular path, making it possible to find the most difficult environments. If you want to know more information, you can download maps and save them in an 8GB memory card that is inserted into the microSD slot. If you wish to have the Bird Eye satellite images, you should only request the additional subscription.
Its operating autonomy is 25 hours and they use two AA batteries. The installation of this device can be done in boats, bicycles, excursions and vehicles for all types of terrains, since these computers resist contact with water.

The GPS is very complete. The screen a bit small. Somewhat complex to understand and configure. For spare bike. It is a bit slow when it comes to displaying a map. Wikilock routes are downloaded very easily and by carrying spare batteries you make sure you don't lose your battery as in a mobile.

This is a cracking little GPS that does the simple things really well. When you’re in a snowstorm on a Scottish or Alpine mountain and you need to know “where am I exactly?” forget faffing with apps and smart phones, get the Etrex out and a couple of clicks you can correlate your position with your map. Job done. Superb battery life and AA batteries means you can do multi day trips without thinking about charging blocks etc. The reverse tracking option is amazing, I’ve used it many times to return from a successful summit when the weather turned.

It does what it's supposed to do. The screen is a little bit small to use for a map, but that was expected. I choose this one because I wanted to have the possibility, but I always find myself getting my cellphone when I need a digital map. It´sa nice backup though and mainly bought for all the other options (which are available on the cheaper version too)
